      Good learning opportunity with patient populations

      Cons

      They will work you to death. Voicing your concerns to management is swept under the rug. They don’t value you as a human being. You’re just another employee.

      Pros

      Good work environment in my residency program with an emphasis on education and wellness. No 24hr call, balanced schedules.

      Cons

      At times it would feel like resident concerns were not addressed. Less professional development and guidance for career paths after residency. Not a lot of diversity.

      Pros

      Co-Workers are outstanding! Level of teamwork on my unit was hard to find anywhere else! Money isn't bad - especially with Extra Shift Incentive - which there is plenty of due to lack of staff.

      Cons

      Management has no idea what it is like on the floor. Lack of communication from unit director to floor staff. Management has unrealistic idea of what is safe for RNs and patients. Unit directors are "checked out" and don't listen to their staff.
