      Pros

      Good insurance, 403B and pension. Usually get a small bonus near Christmas. Rule of 80 retirement available. Tuition assistance. Free gift card, t shirt or free meal here and there. My direct Supervisor and Director are great to work with. They express their thanks and gratitude often.

      Cons

      Big Corp. Too many chiefs and not enough workers. A lot of decisions that come from the top level just don't seem to meet our needs. Everything is so technological these days I feel personal service is lacking at times as a employee and a patient. It is weeks before patient appointments are scheduled. I hear this from others and have experienced it over and over.

      Pros

      Teamwork with coworkers and it is a level 1 trauma center so it is good for experience to learn at

      Cons

      Terrible pay for what is expected, no incentive for time with company, clinical ladder compensation severely lacking for work involved, educational reimbursement is impossible to get or they bait and switch you with it, no significant raises unless you leave and come back, management completely out of touch with reality of situations and constantly adding more to nurses plates when they want to change things

      Pros

      I enjoyed working with patients and some of my co-workers. My manager was wonderful- the best boss I’ve ever had.

      Cons

      We were chronically understaffed to the point where it became dangerous. Typical gossip and backstabbing constantly went on with coworkers. Doctors admitted inappropriate patients who were extremely physically sick and our unit didn’t have the capacity to deal with it.
