      Pros

      Level I Trauma Center - 16 years experience in the Neuro/Trauma ICU, (total of 20 years experience), great unit to gain knowledge, they do encourage continuing education. Love working in this unit.

      Cons

      No support from unit director/management, no communication, very quick to write people up for insignifcant things, too political, favoritism, evaluations are made public (notices are posted you can pick vacations due to your eval, policy states first come first serve) Very high turnover rate due to management, Director w/little experience RN for only 3 years. Unit Director talks down to staff, at nurse's station, belittles staff , very accusatory/reactive personality. New staff members are afraid to say anything because they are intimidated.
