Pros

Looks great on a resume, trauma bond with coworkers = friendship, very fun products, trained well

Cons

- Preys on recent grads with unnegotiable salaries that barely support a high COL area ($56k for EDPs a few years ago, doubt it has changed much) - Extremely terrible HR that fits every stereotype: promotes based on age not ability, extremely slow, fake people, everyone gets "meets (3% raise)" in annual reviews, etc. Truly every negative stereotype to exist. - Unmanageable workload and hours. My team had an "on-call" schedule for weekends, overnight, holidays, truly 24/7. I was contacted weekly for "fires" at ~5am and weekends. It is expected you are reachable at all hours. Everyone is doing 2+ jobs at once. I was offered a 15% unnegotiable raise and instead left and got a 60% raise at another company (within a year it was = to a 75% raise). I am still fully remote and Carter's forced RTO! Know your worth!

Thankless Job

Pros

Pay is generally good, but haven’t received a bonus in years - one of the only incentives to keep breaking our backs to get as a little prize at the end.

Cons

Overworked and under appreciated. Difficult coworkers. Unrealistic expectations. Too many leaders to answer to. Lack of transparency from LT. Mandatory work in office despite terrible location and traffic. No privacy at work. Not enough rooms for meetings or presentations. Political environment where it’s difficult to get promoted if you’re not a higher up. Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Creative & Growth Officer needs to be replaced - been there too long and has lost a sense of reality for the company and the employees.

Pros

Reputable company and quality product

Cons

Absolutely zero flexibility and no work/life balance. Remote is not even an option, during covid you were required to come in the office. Culture is toxic - plan on putting in 10+ hour days regularly. Upper management sets a terrible example, picks favorites, and micromanages. Don't expect to attend any of your child's doctor appointments, school activities, or especially the option of staying home with them when they are sick - you will be told to use a care service to find a sitter for these days. Lack of empathy, support, and respect.
