Pros

Some of the people that worked for me were awesome. The front line workers should get more credit for what they do.

Cons

No sense of teamwork among departments. No clear direction. Manage by fear mentality. No sense of security. Extremely high turnover and termination rate. Managers and Supervisors are overworked and expected to be available 24/7 to the point of exhaustion. Regional Safety Manager in the eastern region was an egotistical, megalomaniac, with a holier than though personality despite the blood on his own hands. Expect to be "thrown under the bus" and have no support.

I made some good friends, had some good times, and shared some good laughs.

Cons

Corporate management and regional management is very rude and disrespectful. Managers fail to provide any direction, guidance, or leadership. Any issues that arise involves numerous conference calls with your manager, their manager, their managers manager etc. etc. Which results in calls with a dozen people all talking over each other and the majority of them not knowing anything about what is going on. They don't empower people to do their job and make decisions on their own. However when things go wrong they are very quick to point the finger.

Pros

You will get a paycheck and the benefits are average. There are a handful of good, honest, hard working people there.

Cons

The company is totally mismanaged and is operated in a manner that is irresponsible to the shareholders. Annual salary adjustments and performance reviews are basically non existent. The company is always looking for the next big thing that is going to make them successful and it always ends up being a failure. Promotions are based on who you know not what you know. On top of all this, the company's safety program is a joke, it looks good on paper that's about it.
