Pros

Great experience Learn how different departments work like regulatory, data management, QC, IRB, etc.

Cons

Training for specifically the study management team is terrible. Every other department has great training but as a study manager you are kinda just thrown in The job is overwhelming sometimes and we work 45 hour weeks

Thank you for your review and candor. We have recently appointed Global Learning & Development Manager for the clinic sites. We recognize that Study Management is a multi-faceted role and one of their first tasks is to review the training and onboarding process for this team. Thank you again for taking the time to post. Pros

The clinic staff are all really great people to work with. The flexibility in schedule as a variable employee makes it great for college students working around their classes. You have a lot of autonomy and responsibility in the work you do, usually not directly overseen. The Clinic Managers, Study Managers, and Doctors/Nurses on staff were all really approachable people and really pleasant to work with.

Cons

The pay is a bit low for the Clinical Conduct Associate position. Even for an entry level position, you would expect to make more than you do given the work, but there are ample opportunities for advancement and higher pay should you stay with the company. You can easily receive a sizable promotion/raise as a member of clinic staff in less than a year if you make a good impression.

Pros

Full benefits package to full-time staff. "Flexible" schedules.

Cons

Full time is made exceedingly difficult to maintain or attain. Staff is regularly passed over for promotion to hire outside personnel. Staff is overworked and frequently asked to work extra shifts to make up for lack of adequate staffing. Guidelines for task performance are given but rarely followed due to time constraints. Raises are annual but at a maximum given rate of ~3% and are typically much lower.

Thank you for your review. I acknowledge that one of the downsides to the 'fast paced' nature of our clinic work is that it can lead to changes in the schedules - sometimes at short notice and this in turn would require asking employees to pick up extra shifts/hours. It is unfortunate to read that you feel Celerion does not promote internally. Open positions are advertised internally and we have promoted 90 employees so far this year. Often we have multiple employees apply for a position and so understandably those not selected are disappointed. Andrew Stringer - Exec. Dir. Global Human Resources.
