Pros

(Been with CSD since June 2016) This is the best company that I've worked for in the last 4+ years in this field (including a school position). There is a great sense of culture and professionalism to provide excellent care and practice to our clients and families. The team aspect of leaning on each other and collaboratively solving problems has contributed to a great sense of pride for our region and CSD as a whole. I highly recommend CSD to anyone to has a sincere passion for this type of work and will go to any lengths to practice quality and effective treatment. ALSO-The company likes to promote within

Cons

-Continuous driving is necessary in this field of work today for any company, but the region and schedule has improved a lot with consolidating drive distance/times between clients -Behavior Specialists role in the SF/Peninsula needs support

Pros

Compensation and benefits are are hard to beat. Love the team of supervisors I work with.

Cons

The company asked all employees to write good reviews to get more people to apply for the behavior specialist position. So be weary of the past reviews from about January or February of 2017 moving forward. This is not a good company to work for. As a supervisor all you ever hear about is productivity and billing. There hasn't been a real training for the clinical team in over a year. Behavior specialist get minimal training before they are thrown out in the field. They are hounded to convert sessions even if they sent a message and scheduling hasn't modified the sessions. They are required to request all holidays off. No holiday pay or vacation time for behavior specialist. They have zero full-time behavior specialist in the east bay location. Also management is run by people who have little experience and do not know what they are doing and how their decisions influence the clinical team. Some have the best of intentions but the results fall short. Pete will promise the world and never delivery. He will say that the increase in clients is due to a contact but then starts things like project 500 (increasing clients to 500 without regard to if we can support that many clients). Which shows me that it's not about families but money.

Pros

- work for a company who cares and genuinely does amazing work! - full-time staff get free medical and dental coverage - part-time staff qualify for big bonuses and growth opportunities - we promote within- our main goal is to educate and provide professional development to all of our employees - our therapy is least-restrictive, reinforcement based. Our employees are trained on how to embed trials into play and our clients have so much fun! - upper management continuously works on making the company bigger and better - you talk, we listen! Within one month of holding a focus group with our staff, improvements were made to address nearly all the concerns - competitive salaries- all of our positions have salaries that are slightly higher than our competitors

Cons

- the negative reviews on this website - our quick growth is due to the needs of the industry. We keep our doors open to service as many clients as we can, not to bill for them but to provide them with quality services. - the way upper management is portrayed here- the CEO has the biggest heart and truly cares about those who work for him and the clients that we service. All decisions are made in the best interest of both the clients and the employees. We are constantly changing our policies and procedures to better meet the needs of the industry and to keep our staff highly taken care of.
