Pros

Coworkers are helpful. Free lunch..that's about it

Cons

Where do I begin...if you have kids, a wife, family, dnt expect this company to give a damn about your life outside of work! All they care is about themself. No matter how hard you work, nothing is ever good enough. Micromanagement to the highest power! They monitor everything you do. Your job is unsecure unless. O with pay, expect to make less than your base unless you hit your activity goals. They don't tell you how hard it is. Trust me you don't want this job! It's already saturated enough. Their top sellers have the best markets and clients. Which makes prospecting super hard.

If you are researching MilwaukeeJobs.com, you owe it to yourself to take the time to learn first-hand what our company is all about - be highly skeptical of what you read on this site. We have a great company, excellent employees and a long track-record of success. That doesn't happen through poor management or by chance. Learn for yourself by going through our interview process. Ask questions. Consider the office atmosphere. Request to speak with someone in our company doing the job for which you are applying. We would love for you to get to know our company directly, and in-person, from people who actually work there rather than some anonymous stranger who posted a review on this site. It's just the smart thing to do.

You get out of it - What you put into it!

Pros

With any position, what you put into your role is ultimately what you are going to receive from it. This is considerably true with this organization. It's a company where everyone starts from the bottom and works their way up. This forces staff to understand and learn the business since there are so many moving pieces. It's a very structured environment, where upper mgmt. is always reviewing your activity and performance to figure out how they can help further your success. For some this may be a con, for others it forces them to work on areas of opportunity and grow further. There are mentor programs, reviews and clear expectations in place so you always know how to get from point A to point B. In the sales department you can advance quickly if you put forth the effort. The company is extremely generous with compensation, bonuses and perks. If you are in sales, this is a huge motivator and can allow you to grow very quickly - which I find exciting. The company is also very passionate about giving back to the community. It's very involved with United Way and corporate giving campaigns every year at the corporate office and their local offices. I have been with this organization for quite some time and it has allowed me to build a career and learn so many different facets of the business that I don't believe I would get anywhere else.

Cons

You need to put in extra time in order to grow and even maintain. Do not expect this to be a 8-5 job, it's not. We come in early, we often stay late. In the beginning for sales, it's requires a lot of extra effort to get off on the right foot. You need to spend a lot of time on the front end prospecting and building your base. It's a lot for some to take on in the beginning, but once things level out - it does get a lot easier, because you are maintaining vs. trying to add a large number of prospects all at once. Self-Motivation is key here -- if you don't like sitting in a cubicle, making calls all day - this isn't the sales job for you. But if you're self motivated and driven and don't mind that corporate environment, then you'll thrive.
