Pros
Hard-working people who truly care about our customers, and who care about their coworkers. When I first started I couldn't believe how committed and smart everyone was, and helpful. The team atmosphere couldn't be better and everyone gets along so well. At my previous employers there was usually a bit of in-fighting, but not here. If you need help, just ask and everyone is willing to give you their time and support (including at all levels of management). I can't complain about compensation since I received a big salary increase when I first started with the company and have been promoted a couple of times since. With each promotion I received a very nice salary increase and I receive bonuses every quarter. The owners of the company are very generous and share in the success of the company in a way that really counts, by giving back to both the community and the staff. We have a great benefits package. I'm sure most people say that, but we really do. Excellent health coverage, dental, vision, disability insurance, 401k with a nice company match, paid parking, etc. The culture of the company is open, friendly and helpful. Everyone is expected to work hard, but there are plenty of rewards and recognition for that hard work. I really look forward to coming to work and there are very few days that I don't really enjoy. As for career development and growth, all I have seen is that there is plenty of opportunity for anyone who does a good job. I am not part of upper-management, but with the support I get, I feel that I have that shot.
Cons
Much time is spent on growing and we might be trying to grow too fast. I would prefer to see us slow down and go for quality of person over quantity. I would also like to be able to bring our pets to work every now and then. I have heard of other companies doing this and we might want to try it here.
