Pros

What an amazing company to work for! So much opportunity for growth. I love working for a company that truly strives and is very well known to be the most knowledgeable reservation staff in the travel industry. Classic Vacations is known for the best luxury service for the best luxury travel. The best part of my job is to know I get to send people on their dream vacations! Classic has the best benefits especially for travel.

Cons

Due to seniority within the company (average 8 years in reservations) It can get difficult to get PTO time off. Suggestion is to know your dates and ask way in advance as well as save your PTO...DON'T call in sick.

Pros

Classic Vacations is owned by Expedia but runs pretty autonomously from its giant parent company. This allows ambitious and motivated employees to stand out and reach for more responsibility. Employees get all the benefits of working for a big company, like great health benefits and travel perks, while enjoying the work/life balance of a smaller, family-friendly company. It’s both fun and challenging to dream up new ways to innovate in the travel industry.

Cons

Occasionally feels like Ground Hog’s Day. Travel Agents are our primary clients, and they can be creatures of habit and slow adopters of change. As such we end up answering the same questions over and over. However, Travel Agents are lovely clients to work with, and they’re very appreciative of our efforts.

Pros

We sell a great product and you get to work with people who are passionate about creating great experinces for our customers. Good benefits and pay is above average in the field of travel. I enjoy going to work every day and respect the senior management and their dedication.

Cons

I do not get to use all of the travel benefits available to me. Would love discounted air travel to see more of the destinations that we sell.
