Pros

Community development for south la

Cons

Organization thrives off nepotism and favoritism towards under performing individuals. Many employees are related to the executive team within CRCD and its subsidiaries. The HR dept is the WORST. Unprofessional, gossiping, act off of hearsay, does not understand their role in employee relations and has poor practices for dealing with investigations and harassment claims. The agency borrows from one funder to pay for another within their subsidiaries, over works employees, and keeps inadequate structures within admin departments so that Execs and Directors can get unmerited bonuses. The turnover rate is at 70% and some of the senior team just looks for scapegoats. This organization is sad and what would be a last resort employer when you can't find anything else.

Pros

your co workers will be the closest thing to you as you all will "trauma bond" because the company under values all of you.

Cons

Toxic work environment, They will give you more than your required duties of the career you were hired for. Blame you for company mistakes, no job recognition, no raises you can work there for more than a year and practically have to beg for a raise. Management treats employees poorly, due to HR and hire-ups making them do so, in order to keep receiving funding. Family relatives are in supervisor positions and half know their job. You have a co worker who started off as Financial Manager who started dating the director of workforce who is know a director of financial, I guess you have to mess around to be moved up around this place. Otherwise we are considered low valued. We were told that us as employees are not a "priority". One day I was even counting paper checks for our clients on the ground sidewalk while HR did not complete their job and issue them when they needed to be issued and they sat there and watched me. (I had no choice or lose my job)

Pros

Overall, mission to better South LA especially the young Black population that often gets overlooked

Cons

HORRIBLE pay HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE executive leadership ZERO training (they expect you to simply figure it all out. the company is extremely disorganized, policies are constantly changing but not being communicated, and overall, the leaders in position need a company-wide re-evaluation.
