Pros

The software they’re selling is absolutely awesome.

Cons

1. Operations leaders are women who bully, they run off emotions, they are unkind and use their leadership positions to justify mistreatment. I’ve been cursed at…by women at this organization because I wasn’t following their rules of engagement. I wish I was being dramatic. 2. There is no consideration of lower level employees in hourly positions. They don’t make changes to training, keep perf indicators or coaching styles based on employee feedback. Kinda weird considering they’re a start up. 3. People that are individual contributors are worked to death. I worked 8am to sometimes 11pm, 80% of the time. But this also had to do with everyone in my department quitting. No one in my department stayed. They saw toxicity and ran, can’t fault them. One was bullied out of a job in front of me! 4. People who are hourly are heavily mistreated. I watched the way people were made to cry, leadership showed favoritism, and a lot of people quit around the same time i did due to pure chaos. If you are looking at the RN, LPN, customer service jobs—look for a company that is more established with a robust Human Resources department who will look out for you and has processes to protect you. As you can see from other reviews, that’s not here.

One of the most toxic companies I've ever seen.

Pros

Great tech - but many of the original builders of the underlying work have left/chased out.

Cons

Almost all of the positive reviews are typical. Very few detailed positive ones, and they all seem cookie cutter (many listing the cons as being related to it's a 'startup'). This is because employees were asked to write positive reviews and HR added some more... Maybe for flavor. Even the responses to the negative reviews are cookie cutter baloney, "At Cohere, we really value team member's feedback and truly thank you for taking the time to share how you feel. We strive to ensure all team members are able to receive real time support, while also building a sense of community and teamwork - blah blah blah" Many of the remaining leadership are only there because they were given the positions and/or were in the right place at the right time. They are there because they are hoping for a big payout for their shares as they ride the healthcare software wave. Look at the other negative reviews! The amount of mismanagement, bullying, and sea-lioning are often delivered with fake smiles, fake concern, or bs phrasing like "pressure testing".

Pros

Remote position. Any state, time zone basically anywhere. Interview process is easy

Cons

This company wants you to be on zoom in camera all day. So if your digging in your nose your room support can tell on you and every little thing you do. You’re being micro managed by room support who isn’t a manager but management has told to tell on every time u breath the wrong way. They will tell u zoom is for the employees to interact but that’s a lie. While in training they will explain how u can move up the ladder in the company which sounds easy but the awful things is management has favoritism so you have to be a favorite by a supervisor, team lead, trainer or room support to move up into a different position. You have absolutely wonder QA scores but if you’re none of those ppls favorites you will remain at the bottom and treated poorly. You’re told to talk to management but again if you’re not a favorite they don’t care about you. This company came up with a shift bid that lost employees knew nothing about. Rules are made up as time goes on so you never know when you’re doing something wrong until management tells you. What kind of company doesn’t have policies and procedures somewhere for their employees to read.

At Cohere, we really value team member's feedback and truly thank you for taking the time to share how you feel. We strive to ensure all team members are able to receive real time support, while also building a sense of community and teamwork, this is done through Zoom. The Zoom rooms give all the opportunity to be part of the virtual contact center and interact with teammates. We are very interested in all team members' professional growth and work closely with team members towards those goals. We have a defined career laddering program for our Intake team members that is accessible via our internal web based resource page and is reviewed with new team members live quarterly. We encourage you to speak directly with the leadership team about your goals and career aspirations. We, as a company, are very interested in cultivating talent and creating a positive work experience. We are excited to be a part of your journey at Cohere!
