Pros

ability to set schedule and work without direct oversight

Cons

pay was very low (most painters were getting paid more than I was) , used my own vehicle to drive 1000+ miles a week to meet goals and was only comped for fuel usage not wear and tear on vehicle through a per mile pay structure. Job had high expectations of what I needed to accomplish without properly incentives like pay increases etc. Company culture was very strange to me, money was the only thing that mattered and upper management would try to shift that attitude with work events etc but there was clear favoritism in those employees which could sell and produce better, while those which were not as successful did not get the help or attention they needed.

Pros

Business knowledge. Buildings communication and leadership skills for some people.

Cons

You work your butt off and are not compensated fairly. Yes it looks like you make a good amount of money (sometimes), but you pay for all of your gas (and drive an absurd amount, pay for all the maintenance on your car due to all of the driving, pay for housing, pay for incentives for your painters, and sometimes work 18 or more hour days. District managers make or break your experience and if you have a bad one then you’re screwed. There is never a conversation about how you are doing or what they can do to help make your experience better. It’s always how many estimates do you have set or where are you marketing next. The company uses you to take a ridiculous amount of overhead from your business. The values say it’s all about family, but they use you until your burnt out and then throw you aside like you were never part of the company.

Pros

I received two paychecks. Learned valuable safety skills. Did not have to pay for own tools.

Cons

Hard to contact, terrible leadership, not sure if scam or real company.
