Collin offers competitive pay compared to other colleges and universities in the area with good benefits including free/low cost healthcare and investment matching. There are many friendly and motivated employees across the district.

Cons

The organization itself is quite disorganized across the various campus and seems to frequently implement changes without the infrastructure necessary to execute them well. Poor communication between departments and governing bodies.

*several days off *nice coworkers

*mgmt is really, really bad depending upon the department (accounting, conference services) *mgmt is self-serving and has favorites of their staff that are protected and are allowed to not follow the rules that they require of everyone else, so it is very visible the preferential treatment and causes division among the staff as you would expect *mgmt avoids dealing with issues, which of course, then get worse and upset the staff *no advancement opportunities *mgmt of college workaround the board to do things that should require approval but break into smaller chunks so they don't have to go thru the board
