Pros

None -anymore - losing market share every quarter, lost 1.6 billion in market value in 12 months.

Cons

New executive teams have no clue how to continue to build on the 20 years of success cvlt had. Egos eliminated the talent and experience on how this business was built. Well how's the NEW Commvault... stale and losing ground to competition sad to see.

Sorry to hear that you feel that way. Not only do we continue to lead the industry, receiving numerous accolades for our heritage of innovation, but we made critical improvements over the past year to get the company back to growth. This includes investing in organic and inorganic innovation to move us into new markets and seize new opportunities. It takes time, but we’re confident we’re on the right path. That said, please feel free to discuss your concerns with your manager or HR business partner. – Brian Carolan – Chief Financial Officer

Nice Campus Free Coffee. Huge Slide. On-site gym.

Cons

Too many to list. Horrible product with bugs. Hotfixes released every hour. Too many clueless managers. Hire and Fire culture. HR is useless. You will get sick working at this place with Toxic culture management has created.

I don’t know how else to start this but to say I am sorry that this is the experience you have been left with. I can assure you this is not at all something I ever want to read. I do understand that as a company we have been going through a considerable amount of change, some exciting and some less so, to prepare us for the future. In the past 6 months alone, we have brought onboard a new leadership team, launched a new SaaS offering that was entirely incubated in-house and in record time, acquired the company Hedvig, and many other changes that will allow us to keep pace with an industry that is constantly evolving. And that we are on the right path was acknowledged as we were named a leader in our space by both Forrester and Gartner for the 8th year straight and certified as a Great Place to Work in both India and New Jersey 3 years in a row. That said, your experience is clearly not what we strive for and I would welcome an opportunity to discuss it further, and I encourage you to reach out directly to me at JHelt@commvault.com - Jesper Helt – CHRO

Commvault Layoffs

Pros

They have a slide.

Cons

Commvault's layoffs are completely repugnant. This measure was only a means to align the pockets of the extremely wealthy rather than to improve the overall infrastructure of the quality of staff. I have never seen an environment where there were more managers than engineers which seems to be the trend in the support department. You can easily remove 50 percent of management and supervisors and hire more engineers to give a better quality of life rather than micromanaging every single ticket and call. Engineers are already inundated with calls they don't need more micro managers.

Our support organization, which is among the mostly-highly regarded in the data protection industry space, is consistently above industry averages for customer satisfaction and in fairness, it’s important to note that Customer Support has a low manager to employee ratio. As you know Commvault announced a worldwide cost-reduction effort, with actions underway to reduce, consolidate and align resources across all functional areas. Our Vaulters are at the heart of our business and as such also by far the biggest recurring investment we make every year. A decision to reduce our workforce is a difficult one and a measure we have only had to take twice in our 22 years history, but it was a necessary step to deliver the financial results expected from our shareholders and that we expect from ourselves. For more detail, you can read the official announcement of our transformation efforts by copying and pasting this link https://bit.ly/2s6smgV We have strived to take these actions in line with our values of ‘doing the right thing’ and ‘treating others as they would like to be treated,’ and with a view to help those impacted both emotionally, financially and professionally to begin the next chapter of their career journey. I understand this is a difficult time, and truly wish you all the best in the future. – Jesper Helt – CHRO
