Pros

The brand, but not even worth keeping it on my resume after my experience.

Cons

Extreme turnover! Do not disreard the other reviews about this role like I didn. I was on one of the top teams, but we were always made to feel like we had to save our bosses job. I mentioned multiple times to my manager and another manager that our office was extremely in distress and nothing was done. I even shared one with my boss that I was worried one morning that an employee might shoot us up and that I even had an escape plan in my head. Nothing was done. I interviewed for an executive AE role and next thing I know I'm interviewing for a "Strategic Growth Manager" role. Run. No money is worth the harm. The CEO comes across as a very liekable person, but either he is turning away from the issues or isn't being notified of them. I had to pay out of my own pocket for treats in the office. this was something that I was told all other SGM's were doing, so I did it. It was highly frowned upon by our manager to ever try and expense anything because he needed 2-3 approvals.

Pros

When I first started in 2021, I thought I'd die at the company (in a good way). Once this company went public, you went from being an valued, appreciated employee to just a number in their metrics. Co-workers are amazing, and you will bond over how much this company hates you and how they are trying to push you out, so they don't need to pay severances through, yet, another layoff. At least there are unlimited sick days for when your mental health takes a beating.

Cons

You are no longer guaranteed 40 hours a week, which is almost unheard of in a corporate environment. They will boast how well the company is doing, but won't restore the perks that were taken away (such as free health insurance and gym reimbursements), nor give merit increases. If someone leaves the company, you are expected to take on more work, as they won't hire a replacement while being severely understaffed. Upper management will gaslight you, say how our feedback is valuable but to this day, we have not seen any improvements.

Pros

Before this Compass went public, it was the ideal place to work. They cared about their employees, benefits were top-notch (practically 100% medical and dental, tuition reimbursement ($500-1500 a year), phone expense, fitness reimbursement ($80 a month), unlimited sick days, etc. Well you can kiss that goodbye. Current Pros: *still have unlimited sick days * 16 weeks paid mat leave

Cons

You might get 1, maybe even 2 good years of compass (they are great at hiring motivated people). Until slowly you start realizing that all the work you do doesn't ever actually pay off. They let you believe that the harder you work the more likely they are to promote or give better raises, but the fact is, there's just no money. The allocate it all to the agents vs employees. Example (they give a marketing bonus of $50 K to an agent but across the board in the region I'm in, the highest raise they give is 6% when the cost of living increase by 13%). In the year of 2022, they gave NO raise or bonuses. Imagine that. Working your butt of for 1 year all to get no recognition or pay, while everything around you sky rockets. Then holding out the next year for them to flick a penny at you and expect you to be greatful. I promise, this company isn't worth your time, ambition, or hard work. I've waste too many years here I can't get back bc I believed it would pay off and I'd move up or get more money. Don't be me.
