Pros

Good entry level opportunity to gain experience in IT. Training is available (via online courses) for those wishing to utilize it. Standard benefits, good amount of vacation days per year. * When I first started, another co-worker gave me the advice of saying to only stay for 1.5-2yrs tops to gain experience and then move on, I wish I had listened.

Cons

Compensation (often dependent on specific contract) is way sub par. Lots of turnover due to this. Managers often rely heavily on employees who have been on the contract for a while to pick up slack during periods of turn over and training of new employees but without any kind of additional compensation or recognition. Online training system is tedious, no compensation for self study and certification without using their system. Communication from account managers to workers is lacking, we were often the last to know about major changes that affected all of us.

Pros

If your skills are entry-level, CompuCom will most likely take a chance on you because they know they will be able to pay you less. For someone just looking to get his foot in the door, this is a good opportunity to get some real world experience on his resume. If you can keep your expectations low, CompuCom will be an ok place to work. Just don't stay longer than you absolutely have to.

Cons

CompuCom pays as little as they can get away with. (When I was employed with them, they charged the customer $175/hour for two technicians and between the two of us, we made about $45/hour. Neither one of us had benefits). Turnover is high and morale is low. Often, you are working with other technicians who have very little knowledge and experience which can be frustrating if you actually have a decent skill set.
