Pros

Hmm, keeps you off the street in the winter. Hamster wheels are given out upon entery to the company.

Cons

the weasels who manage and cockroaches who do not produce and somehow maintain employement or are promoted. This place should be a case study for all that sales organizations do wrong. Directives are given and countermanded within hours. Management equates a "good employee" as one who ceasely sucks up. The next back-bone that is found in middle management will be the first. You are not allowed to have independent ideas and think or promote inovation. At all cost you must tow the the ever-changing company line.

Pros

Strong support staff to get things done efficiently, decent benefits and a well established company that has been around forever and likely not going to go out of business during the hard times. Good overall vendor relationships, which makes things easier in terms of securing better pricing, etc.

Cons

Poor middle management, company is too focused on monitoring and controlling your every action, than on selling. Lower than average compensation, you are taxed heavily on anything you could possibly earn. Too much focus on monitoring and controlling your every action rather than simply focused on selling. Company takes a percentage of everything from you that you don't even see

Pros

It's quite entrepreneurial - you get what you put into this. It is like owning your own business - including sales, customer support, issues, etc. So this can be good and bad at the same time as growing a solid business can take an investment on the support side for these clients.

Cons

This is truly a long term, professional sales role. The opportunities for advancement are minimal to zero. You will get great support throughout the organization if you are in the top 10%, otherwise it seems that the organization has little interest outside of that circle. It seems from experience, there are better options in terms of companies within the same industry (other leading/top IT resellers/VARs) if you are seeking a great long term and rewarding career opportunity.
