Micromanagement from the top down - makes it really difficult to utilize your skills to actually do your job when superiors are so in the weeds. Portrays itself as a "Best Place to Work" but so many people are miserable. Very cliquey, if you're not within certain circles you're screwed. Terrible work life balance; you are judged if you don't live and breathe the company or dare to leave at 5pm. Everything is a crisis - high alert, high stress environment all day every day. Managers trash talk people from other departments constantly, very awkward.

Employees put in a lot of effort for pay that doesn’t go far in the NYC area. We do it because we care about the work, not for the money, but it would be good if management could throw a decent holiday party for us to celebrate with each other. Instead what we got was a 2 hour disaster of an event with no food and only wine and beer. Also beer ran out half way through the event. Unless the company isn’t doing well why would we do this? I have never been to a holiday party that is so bad before.
