Pros
I’ve worked in house, at agencies, B2B and B2C, startups and big corporations. I’m pretty sure ConstructConnect is the best place I’ve worked for. They are very people forward, there’s tons of development, opportunities available, and while things can get busy and stressful like any job, this is one of the first places I’ve worked that listens and tries to fix things that are affecting your personal or professional life. The culture is great, people are fun to work with, and management truly feels invested in your development. We are encouraged to continue learning, and even have four hours a week dedicated to just learning either more about the company or products or your field of work. Benefits are fairly generous, including unlimited PTO. in my experience, the pay is average to slightly above average. I’ve definitely made more in highly specialized or startup environments. That being said, I feel very comfortable speaking with my boss about career aspirations and we’ve even worked out career growth strategies and milestones to hit to help make a case for promotion. When people talk about a people first culture, this is what I mean. My boss is proactively working with me to make sure that my work life balance and career is working for me. she is upfront about where she wants me to be, areas I can work to improve, and open to my own preferences and goals. I hope to be able to continue my career at CC for a long time and already see possibilities for me to grow my career here rather than having to look externally for promotions or new positions. I would highly recommend ConstructConnect to friends looking for jobs in software!
