Pros

There is somewhat of a team spirit there but it is a facade to a large degree. The lack of communication from management to people on the frontline just is not acceptable for a company of this size. But there is practically no desire to change anything. Ideas seem to come from the top down and dissension is seen as an undesirable trait when it can often be the voice of reason.

Cons

The attendance policy not only means there is constant staff turnover but you lose a lot of very talented staff members for what amounts to technicalities. In five plus months the call wait time never notably decreased leading to very angry customers to whom many operating a cell phone is bewildering and confusing. Find the people who are good at billing, good at sales and good at troubleshooting, etc and route those calls to them. You are missing out on using your in house talent to an almost criminal degree. But if you just look at stats, you will never learn the cause of them and management are kidding themselves if they have a united grasp of this. I suffered much from people making my comments about my accent because of my national origin. Even when I asked it to stop, it did not...it became very upsetting and nothing was done. One big reason I resigned...

Not what it used to be

Pros

Good hourly rate, for a company that offers full medical benefits it's pretty good. Great bonus potential. The nice customers are awesome. Most of the Supervisors really care about you.

Cons

Upper management is clique and you definitely have to be a way overachiever if you want to be successful. I started out wanting to eventually promote to Sup since I have previous sup experience but The supervisors seem to be way overworked and don't have time to spend with their team on a regular basis. They always seem to be in a meeting or on their computer looking like they have more work then they have time to do it. Then when they meet with us they want to get you in and out so they can get on to the next because they get 30 mins a day to meet with us. We are lucky if we get one meeting a month. I hear a lot of my coworkers say the same thing. We want time with our Sups and we want them to look happy again. I want to be a sup to develop reps and form strong work relationships (this has been proven to cause long term employees and less call outs)not to be a glorified secretary. They are having contests to get people to work OT but you aren't eligible if your not meeting all metrics. Most of my team aren't meeting CPH so they are willing but not eligible.
