Pros

Not a lot of positives to be honest. There are some really nice people who work there! Unlimited supplies of tea & coffee. Glamorous Christmas party!

Cons

Expected to work really long hours (9am - 11pm) without any overtime pay or additional breaks - I'm pretty sure some of the hours they make the engineers work are immoral. Just work hard environment, no time to socialise! Frowned upon if you leave on time. They use and abuse you! Really slow career progression.

Pros

Some of my direct peers are fun to work with. This is because the company hires mainly graduates and you can make some friends.

Cons

I have never enjoyed working at Content Guru. If you are reading these reviews because you have been contacted by a recruiter, read the negative reviews as most of them give a fairly decent representation of the company. Most of the positive reviews are fake (theres a common joke about this around the office). The last few months have taken a turn for the worse. The company is in full blown panic mode as its total growth is pegged to about two or three large key customers and 'lucky' sales. The directors are visibly more on edge, and its because the investment firm is putting serious pressure on the business to maintain its growth and report on activity. This would be fine if we had a plan or good management to help the sales and engineering team but we don't. This has resulted in a state of disarray as there are no serious, qualified opportunities passing through the business and existing customers are leaving like rats fleeing a sinking ship. To add to the confusion, we are now trying to sell technology which is not fully developed or not developed at all. The company needs to grow a brain. The company provides no support, does not have a strong management structure and the cracks are becoming larger and larger each day. With the exception of the new graduate hires, most if not all of my team is looking to leave, with people actively interviewing for other roles at other companies. If you are reading this, buyer beware!

Pros

I'm writing this having worked 22 hours straight a few weeks ago. Then consistently having worked around 10-12 hours a day since. There really isn't much positive to say at this point.

Cons

The hours are ludicrous. For a company that experiences such phenomenal growth each year (just read the marketing blurbs). Why hasn't the Engineering Services team grown linearly? It's because this company is great, only for those few elite at the top. Pretty much everyone else feels rubbish the whole time. The only talk I hear is 'grumble grumble grumble'. My advice; if you're a wide eyed graduate, steer clear and either join a bank where you'll work similar hours but be paid double. Or join a company that's got actual growth in numbers, not just revenue, because let's face it the trickle down model's never worked!
