Pros

the people are really nice. the events are extremely extravagant.

Cons

Cortland doesn’t really care for longevity in employees or departments. Within the year I worked there they completely reorganized the Technology department not really caring about how that affected the end-users or the current employees. We were constantly pushing out new tools with zero announcement or training. You’re expected to do what you are told and keep your ideas to yourself. The main focus is saving the company money rather than provided a better experience for all of the Community teams.

Hi, there! Cortland is a rapidly growing company, and that sometimes means quick changes to make sure our technology keeps up with our growth. However, the impact on end-users and associates is always a priority, and we always value ideas and suggestions on how to make rollouts and improvements better. You’re correct – Technology is a huge part of what makes Cortland so successful, and we’re constantly working to ensure that our technology and Technology team are primed to succeed.

Pros

They’re in a great location in Buckhead across from the mall. They have a great benefits package. Employees are well compensated. They have a lot of industry related training opportunities for employee growth. They have a company wide yearly trip to get all the employees together. They have really good technology here. There’s no set time to come and leave so it’s very family friendly. They try to help you attain your own personal career goals. The office is very diverse as it pertains to staff. They try to promote from within.

Cons

The office is very diverse, but this isn’t reflected in the executive staff. There is no diversity in execute positions or senior management. Check the website to see that the company is extremely whitewashed from the top. The executives are very stand-offish and unapproachable.

Hey, Cortlandian! We’re ecstatic to hear that you enjoy all we have to offer our great associates. One of our goals is to ensure they have the best possible experience while working with us. We put an emphasis on associate growth and training for the mere reason that we believe increasing their value only improves Cortland as a whole. As a company, we’re very diverse, and over time that will evolve from the ladder up! #GrowTogetherAndPlayAsATeam – Ashley Gordon, VP of Talent Acquisition
