Pros

I continue to be impressed with this company on a daily basis. From day one I felt apart of the team. Its a large company with a small company feel. Everything from the focus on customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction to the fine details of making an already beautiful community even better is very impressive. They have a focus on creating a lifestyle for residents vs. just offering a place to live which makes my job more fun. They create amenities to get residents out and about on the community. The company has a very relaxed atmosphere of very dedicated, knowledgeable individuals. I feel supported and empowered to do my job everyday. I am so excited to continue to grow with this company.

Cons

Every company has improvement opportunities but everything I have encountered with Cortland is very minor. I have nothing notable to mention here.

Pros

Most of Cortland Partners' leaders approach the business with innovation and authenticity. They appreciate the diversity and brain power of their associates. This is the best of all worlds: working with great product in a beautiful environment with a diverse group of people who contribute their unique ideas and experiences and are encouraged to incorporate play into the workplace.

Cons

I have come into contact (as I'm sure I would in any organization) with leaders who use "managing through intimidation" and others who struggle setting expectation and providing feedback. While cons come with pros, more awareness of who these leaders are (both at corporate and onsite) and redirecting them to live our core values is something within our power.

Cortland Partners is a growing and innovative company. The entire management team has an open door policy. Cortland partners is a company that makes you feel appreciated for all of your hard work. Employee surveys are not only asked for but read. Employee ideas are taken into consideration. Onsite teams are supported and that is quite refreshing.

Cortland Partners is a growing company and with that comes some growing pains. Management is quick to address concerns and make appropriate changes.
