Pros

Overtime potential but it's often mandatory.

Cons

Poor work-life balance, management doesn't care about employees, many short time fixes for long term problems, poor management communication, a lot of politics and sneaky behavior from "leaders", promises that aren't kept. This place is great for about 6 months if you're right out of college, but prepared to be overworked, dealing with a boss who doesn't want to be responsible for anything, puts a lot of pressure on you, and blames you for things he should be responsible for.

Pros

If you are able to travel this is the job for you. The positive reviews are staged by management asking employees to post the "PRO" reviews.

Cons

Since the merger the 2 companies have had approximately 30 percent of their employees leave. New employees that they have hired have left after a few short months. Very little advancement with this company, they promote who they want. They expect a lot of travel time so you will not be home with your significant other or children. The company is in a rush to get reviews/raises done before the beginning of the new year....most pay raises are being rejected by upper management. Most employees in this company have had their manager currently for 2 months and those 2 months is what they are using for the reviews. How about the rest of the year and the other 2-3 managers before that. Managers or upper management will call at late hours because they want to you to handle an investigation in the next few day. The office people work around 8a.m. to 5p.m., field investigators are up extremely early and if they make it home to have family time they call you at all hours for case. They have don't care about field investigators.

Pros

The pro's went out the door back in March when Dave Merrill bought Global Options. With that being said, there are no pro's and you may want to read the next box moving forward.

Cons

With that merger brought the end of the company paid holidays at least for the investigators. The office staff still have all there paid holidays. Then again, according to the management, the investigators are quoted as "Front Liners" and are expendable. Also all the investigators lost a weeks paid vacation. All in all, that's $3000 per investigator back in Dave Merrill's pocket. They used to give the investigators $0.15 a mile while billing the clients $0.55 a mile, now no miles are paid to the investigators. Instead now they give you fuel cards and cell phones to for only one purpose and that's to track you. The reporting system also requires you to have a PHD to navigate versus the much more proficient and user friendly Global Track system that Global utilized. Your expenses are taxed which makes no sense. Lastly with the merger, there are too many investigators to get work cause there are now two companies to feed work to. Former ICS Merrill employee's didn't get work before and now it's a company wide epidemic. Stay clear from this company as many of us are also looking. In the last 2 months approximately 50 investigators and case managers have left and that may double in the months to come.
