Pros

Great benefits, parent company is a great place to work. The Auto-Trader portion of Cox Automotive is well run, with strong managers, like most of Cox Enterprises.

Cons

The Manheim portion of Cox Automotive is the red-headed step child of Cox Enterprises. Mainly a good old boy society. With a few exceptions, mid-level to executive management watches out for themselves, while abusing the workers.

Too 'Woke' for me

Pros

Overall good people. Once was a very fun place to work. Unlimited vacation and decent benefits. Automotive is a fun industry.

Cons

Atlanta is where corporate is and they have turned it into a nightmare for anyone not working in Atl. They are also one of the many companies that are trying to be 'woke'. As long as you're not a straight, white, male you should be good. During the pandemic, you could easily see how they were getting to their diversity goal through attrition. I know many very good people (white males) who were let go over non-white employees. The fact that they are concentration on hiring POC over the best person for the job was disturbing to say the least. Then the 'vaccine' (flu shot) mandate came in. They used one of the makers of the 'vaccine' as the interview as to why you need a shot. Does anyone not see the irony in that?

Thank you for your feedback. As a former employee, you know that one of our core values is “doing the right thing, always.” We know that prioritizing safety is the right thing to do, so we require anyone wishing to work in or visit any of our highly concentrated administrative offices to be fully vaccinated – it’s the best way to stop the spread of the virus and save lives. The same is true for our inclusion, diversity and equity initiatives: we advocate for equality because it’s the right thing to do. It also strengthens our business! Thanks for taking the time to comment and we wish you all the best.

Disappointing

Pros

Rapidly growing/ changing keeps from remaining stagnant, which also leads to lots of personal growth and career opportunities. Great benefits/ bonus/ time off/ holidays

Cons

A successful company that once celebrated success with each other, patted each other on the back, and once a fun culture has unfortunately gone down hill fast. Lots of pointing fingers at one another and teams. New, inexperienced leadership, with little to zero knowledge of the company is only focused on gaining for themselves, and has ultimately lost focus of their clients (example: implementation will push an entire 'go-live' date because one single add-on product is not setup on time , so instead of taking ownership and getting the job done they will fail to launch on time which is failing the customer. Instead of proper coaching, to make sure their team is held accountable, and to make sure projects will complete on time moving forward, instead there is constant pointing of fingers. Not only are the clients impacted but employees who are (were) passionate about the company, who went above and beyond- they are failing to be heard as well. If an employee does express concern or provide feedback- the employee is instead looked at negatively and held against them.
