Pros

At this moment, the only benefit of working for this company is getting a pay check.

Cons

CEO of Cox just announce that if you’re not vaccinated, you can’t work here. I no longer want to work for a company that forces it’s people to think like them and force you to do something to your body. They’re also taking away remote work and requiring employees to report to the office starting in October based on “team agreements.” The team agreements are at the manager’s discretion and almost all managers are requiring workers to be in the office. Find another place to work that allows for flexibility and gives you the choice to do what you want with your body.

Thank you for your feedback. The health and safety of our employees, customers and communities is very important to us, which is why employees in designated roles or certain Cox locations are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We believe that we have a responsibility to help stop the spread of the virus, and we’re happy to do our part. We understand that not everyone will agree with our decision, but we want to do our part to keep our employees, customers and communities safe, and to end the pandemic, and we want to continue to live up to our value of leading by example. Thank you again for taking the time to write this review.

Pros

Cox has probably one of the best compensation/total rewards offerings. Their Atlanta campus is beautiful and with many amenities. Work space is very nice. Some people are great and worth keeping a relationship with. The Cox family truly cares for the well-being of their employees and they showed It during the pandemic.

Cons

This organization has great values at the top level but that is were the leadership stops. Culture is cut throat and there is a lot of incompetence at the Senior and Executive leadership. They don’t know what they want and direction is constantly changing impacting people’s roles. No clear separation of responsibilities, no strategy, and very poor vision. Project are more like throw spaghetti on the wall and see what sticks approach. Some leaders use their positions to abuse power. No wonder same roles open every few months. Beware of job postings that are filled and reposted every few months. They are always recruiting to refill the same jobs. Worse culture ever.

Pros

Great Benefits, Plenty of Time off, Great People, Great 401K match (6% for new employees), Ample Internal Opportunities.

Cons

I worked with Cox Automotive for just under 6 years. When I started I thought I thought this was the company I would retire from, it was that good. However, this changed through a series of missteps and poor leadership. Cox Automotive grew rapidly through a series of acquisitions and did nothing to integrate the companies. Poor leaders were put in place and innovation came to a standstill. Then the reorgs and layoffs started and continued for 2 years (and still continue). I have never worked at a company with lower overall morale. (There are pockets of Cox Auto that seem to have a better culture and morale than others) This company has lost a lot of market share and still has a lot of reorganization to do before the dust settles. They offer great benefits, but even that wasn't enough to keep a lot of very tenured people from leaving.
