Pros

Pay is fair Benefits are just OK, not greatest but not the worst I've seen either Facilities/environment are well kept

Cons

Limited healthcare plan options in comparison to other large companies VERY limited work-from-home options Senior Management has no vision. They have ideas, but no vision. Two different things. Witness: Cox Wireless debacle Content to go along with the industry instead of being a leader in it. 80% IT personnel turn over, contractors rotate through every six months so we get actual production of 5 months and then it takes another month for the new contractor coming in to catch up "Be nice" culture at Cox impedes actually getting things done.

Pros

The benefits, hybrid onsite work model, and PTO are great. Nice facilities as well.

Cons

Cox historically offered a positive workplace environment; however, recent developments have diminished its appeal as an employer. Notably, the company has consistently exhibited a reluctance to promote employees or acknowledge exceptional performance. Over the past few years, this issue has been exacerbated by indecisive leadership regarding organizational structure. This uncertainty has led to frequent restructuring, often assigning employees to roles that do not align with their skills or interests. Moreover, despite the dedication and hard work of the staff to meet challenging deadlines and manage substantial workloads, performance reviews frequently rate employees below the 'meets expectations' level. Additionally, there appears to be a significant gap in leadership training and practice at various levels within the company. Numerous employees have reported receiving unexpectedly poor performance reviews, a lack of awareness from leaders about their work, and cancellations of one-on-one meetings, which further hampers effective communication. Given these circumstances, I would advise caution in joining Cox until it addresses these structural and leadership challenges comprehensively.

Pros

The people on the teams you work with will make it worth your while. They are for the most part interested in helping everyone be successful. It is actually the leadership you have to be fearful over not the rank and file or middle managers.

Cons

The other directors and just about eveyone above is just like every callous power hungry executive at every other big corporation. Cox pretends that it is a family business and that everyone working here is a family. But the VP's give heartless orders to drive the people harder and anyone who doesn't fall in line get's targeted to be disciplined. More of work is being moved off shore so there really is no dedication to the employees or the communities. Its all a lie to keep the plebs in line. The shift has been in the last year since the new CEO was announced. Its like everyone in leadership has thrown empathy and intellegence out of the window, then replaced it with an animalistic urge to be cruel and ensure their own survival at the same time.
