Pros

- The benefits package - Not that long of an orientation - They hire you quick - A few managers are very nice.

Cons

- For a hostess the pay is only 7.50 an hour, which isn't that great for all the stress and being yelled at by others that you put up with. Other make at least a dollar more than you an hour beside the severs who do make very good tips. - I was lied too about the number of hours I would be working. I was told 20 to 25 hours a week and for the 3 weeks i stayed the most I got was 15 the other two weeks I got 10 and then 11 hours. When I spoke up about it I was told 'no one ever promised you that'. - I was yelled at my second day for not knowing my job. I trained maybe an hour the day before and I have never been a hostess before so of course I did not know my job. Instead of yelling they should of showed me the right way. - You end up doing other people's jobs. -You hardly get a break, which is why they are paid. -A lot of people get cut early if it's not busy and told to come back later and you do not get paid for the hours you are cut.

Pros

5 years ago, prior to the top leadership leaving/ changing (run off), the brand was poised for success. It was about growth, development, PEOPLE! No pros to be spoken of to this day

Cons

You are expected to work harder than your supervisor daily. Holidays while your supervisor is off. ALL HOLIDAYS away from family, mandatory! In the brand statement you are to protect the “shareholders”, while your bonuses are held back through every form of theft I can compare it to. What was once a profit sharing business is now a profit sharing for VP or above business, paid for out of the bonus comp plans of the field (primarily from managers, general managers, and district managers). They boast high salaries and high bonus plans. Once you are in you find that the salary and lack of bonus is a complete waste of your time and efforts. If you watch the mass exodus of top leaders through the company in field positions it is evident that the “Top Seat” and board are delusional at best and only care about lining their pockets with their shares.

Pros

Very few, the restaurant managers treat you like a red headed step child, you don’t get much support from them, but often blamed for anything that goes wrong with to gos or registers. I suppose your lunch is free so it is a perk, but you can’t take it until all the guests are taken care of and you can not leave the building on your break. Borderline breaking labor laws if you ask me.

Cons

Only 1 paid holiday a year, and they are always open except Christmas Day. There is poor communication among mgmt. and the workload is heavy year round. You are the bathroom monitor, and the only time the restaurant managers communicate with you is if a toilet is clogged or out of tissue. The retail store is not funded to execute anything but cashiering and as a retail manager you really don’t have much staff to manage, just cashiers and you do the heavy lifting. Absolutely the worst job I have ever had, and cannot believe I stayed as long as I did.
