Pros

Culvers has a way with people. Being able to effortlessly train and provide the right motivational skills to succeed helps with the job. Working in the kitchen can be difficult if you are not someone who works well under pressure but getting the "groove" of the work flow gives you a comfortable ride and a sustainable job to complete. The positions are easy to learn and it's easy to move up, but you HAVE to go above and beyond to move up. You have to master your job and give 110% to be a next step manager-like candidate. Always remember to try every day and put in all of your effort to receive full satisfaction.

Cons

Some jobs are harder than others to learn and require A LOT of patience. It's easy to learn one thing but it may be much more of a challenge to learn another without proper training or patient trainers.

Pros

If you're social, you'll get along with a lot of employees! I became very close with my coworkers. Food is not bad. Pay is over minimum wage. Can be flexible with school/work hours.

Cons

Management was terrible when I worked there. Although most of the management that I had a problem with has since quit, there is still one manager that shouldn't be working there. Has sexually harassed the employees and despite multiple complaints to the boss, has yet to be suspended or fired. The owner of the store is super nice, but he's a pushover. To my knowledge, he has only fired one person face to face. Everyone else that has left has quit or fired because of no-call-no-shows, which is essentially them quitting. Terrible work hours. Would not give you the hours you asked for. On a good week, I could get 18 hours a week. Definitely showed favoritism.

Pros

Great welcoming environment, amazing team members, treats guests and employees like family, great community involvement.

Cons

Minimum wage, hours are consistently cut in the winter time even though new people were always being hired, management was poor, employee growth was ridiculously slow. No health insurance offered.
