Pros

Free lunches, fun staff to work with

Cons

Lack of advancement opportunities, low salary pay - there are better, higher paying opportunities in the Washington DC area. You can make 20K more for the same job elsewhere. Many of things promised in your interview are just a facade.

Pros

that I no longer work there

Cons

systematic racism gaslighting middle management does all of the work no leaders in place b2b product is a lie and sold on broken promises and outdated tech incompetent sales leadership the people team does nothing and takes no accountability, they say that they're here to help but have no suggestions and are not helpful in any way marketing team is 5X but continue to show negative results since growing the team, they appear to be running in circles with no real guidance the newest hires make no sense especially after laying off most of sales and only black people expected to work long hours and when on vacation, unlimited PTO is a joke because you're never not working family first & health first leadership is all a lie constantly getting SPIN sold on a BS future at the company leadership team has no accountability, passes off the work of middle management and ICs as their own while employees are burnt out, under paid and undervalued spent a ton of money on pacman, scooters and bean bag chairs to help with morale??? and no bonuses for over achievers

Cybrary Response

Thank you for taking the time to review Cybrary on Glassdoor and provide feedback on your work experience. It is important to us to hear from our employees and former employees about what we are doing well and what we can improve upon. We regret that your work experience with Cybrary has been subpar because it indicates that we fell short of your expectations in some way. We take pride in being an organization that has established a virtuous cycle that promotes feedback at all levels and where individual contributors can feel that their issues are acknowledged and promptly handled. We deeply apologize if you feel resolution was not provided to you in a timely manner. However, we can assure you that the people team, leadership, and managers do not take any complaints or issues lightly and we exhaust every option to come to the best resolution possible. In 2022, unfortunately Cybrary, like many other organizations, faced layoffs; however we can assure you that no race or other discriminatory factors were utilized in determining the affected employees. We are committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and ensuring that these values are embedded into Cybrary’s identity. As a start-up, we frequently experience different business cycles, during which both hiring and layoffs can occur. However, we make sure that these events fit the current state of our company's performance. As an organization, we continuously strive to implement new strategies, initiatives and processes that will help us improve the way we do work, our culture, brand and most importantly our employer and employee relationships. Because our team members are our most important assets, we are especially proud of the new initiatives implemented in 2022. These include, but aren’t limited to, our new and improved recognition program, re-opening our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to encourage participation from all employees, and launching a training program that will focus on our employee career development and growth. We also want to acknowledge your experience with our paid time off (PTO) program. We regret to hear you did not feel you could fully leverage your time off and truly disconnect. At Cybrary, we offer flex leave because we believe in empowering our team members to take time off and we strongly encourage team members and leaders to disconnect while they’re away. We recognize that at any company this can be a challenge at times, especially at a startup organization. We invite any team member experiencing challenges with this to communicate this and partner with their manager and the people team to ensure they can truly take time off. This is crucial for every individual’s morale and wellbeing. Thank you again for bringing these concerns to our attention. We encourage you to reach out to the People Team to have a further discussion of your concerns. As always we appreciate and value your feedback.

Pros

Low employee retention means many of the midlevel leadership have gotten opportunities for promotion due to attrition Free coffee The opportunity to make hundreds of cold calls a day Lots of accountability with 3x daily meetings and manditory in office

Cons

nobody hits their goals for number of demos monthly, usually we are at like less than two thirds of how much were supposed too toxic atmosphere leaders try to retain employees with giftcards and not treating employees kindly CEO is unaware of common abuse of lower level employees compensation is a third lower than other companies even within that office complex
