Pros

Good benefits. Decent Pay. Retirement Plan. Enjoyed co-workers

Cons

Will not accept call-ins for anything. Dual key control locks you into being REQUIRED to come in, even if you call in or ARE ON VACATION if something happens. Supervisor was horrific and scheduled time to benefit her time off and then you came second. No sympathy for anything. SALES SALES SALES. This job is NOT to benefit members. Clearly. It is to make money off of you. So while you are crying in front of a representative because you need a loan for a funeral, know that while they as a person might care, they are trained to go through every way they can get more money from your situation. Incentives are horrible. Leadership is cowardly and empty. Refuse to waive fees for members regardless of what is happening in your life to "teach you a lesson".

Pros

Absolutely nothing I can think of. I do hear other members complain about the merger and how they miss the old LSI days. Me too. I tell members to jump ship, we are the Titanic and I am re-arranging the deck chairs.

Cons

Always have a tag line for each member. They don't want to hear that. Most can't afford a mortgage or loan or have bad credit. They come in once a week and try to offer them something? I just want to do my job, cash checks, and leave at 5pm. Dress code is also tough. Suit and tie everyday for cashing checks. Really?

Pros

Great benefits and great people that work behind the teller line. There is a lot of potential for growth if you are able to fit within the corporate culture.

Cons

While the job is listed as a teller position that features a sales component this is not emphasized enough. You are cold calling members as they stand in front of you. You will be encouraged to do this for every member because you are "helping" them when in reality you are making money for the company. If you are not a salesman do not take this job because your priority to the company is being the first point of contact in getting a loan to the member.
