Pros

Networking, great colleagues, office perks such as on-site clinic, dry cleaning, fitness center, café, etc...; employee discounts,

Cons

Benefits were terrible for such a large organization, they had to own the rights to any systems they had (i.e; ATS, Sales Software, POS, etc...) and these systems were mediocre at best. IT would spend so much time on fixing flaws in the existing systems, that nothing would ever get done in a timely manner and you were always told about the "IT freeze" which just meant that they were not interested in helping you, you had to take ownership to find a work-around to the problems.

Pros

- Cool office - 35% discount at Darden brands - No other pros

Cons

- Low pay - Must kiss a lot of butt and “network” to be promoted - Promotions are made in secrecy. Peers have to hide their promotions from those at the same level. Why would any company do this?! - Very “corporate” - Mid-pandemic, employees who deserved promotions for years finally got promoted after company started to lose talent FAST - Pay is unfair. You could be doing the same exact role as someone, making tens of thousands of dollars less - Do not promote in-position, a new role must be open before you get promoted - Old management with old school beliefs - People who stay late are viewed more favorably, even if they produce the same amount of work as those who leave right at 5 - Management (above Manager level) is gossipy, condescending and rude - One of the first companies to be required to return to office full time mid-pandemic. Finally adopted hybrid after they lost talent again - No diversity. Corporate office is mainly white. Executives are predominately white elder/middle-aged males - Expect late nights (Past midnight lots of nights - this isn't IB... you aren't getting paid to work these hours)

Pros

The company runs very organized which helps everything run more smoothly in all areas. The food is great and the guests are great as well. Management is always around for support and help. I made money and had fun doing it.

Cons

Other employees having bad attitudes. I believe that being in the service industry is to provide the guest with whatever he/she wishes for. People pay to get served and we are there to serve and satisfy the guests. Too many employees complain about guests too often when really they should strive to satisfy every customer and make more money as well. Too many negative bad attitudes about serving.
