Pros

Learned a lot about how not to manage people and a business.

Cons

This company will make you feel extremely worthless and drained. Unrealistic expectations are set and you are threatened to hit quota each month. The pay is not at all worth the level of unprofessionalism and disrespect you will receive each day here.

Pros

get that closing title on your resume

Cons

-absolutely cut throat culture, VPs and directors don't care about you as a person and will belittle you on calls -people steal accounts all the time -awful CRM that crashes every 5 minutes -during my time here I've seen 30+ AEs leave in less than a year This is a churn and burn environment and you will be miserable here 65k base for a HCOL area is a joke

Pros

Darktrace is like the Wild West of sales & cyber security. There will be many opportunities for you to make an incredible amount of money and you really get out what you put in. The technology is very interesting, and it is the perfect opportunity for you to get your feet wet in a booming industry with little to no experience fresh out of college. If you are okay with a high intensity environment, this is the place for you. You are rewarded strongly for your effort and success, and there are little rules or roadblocks in the way to stop you from making good, good money.

Cons

If you do not have any previous sales experience, this role will be nearly impossible. There is an incredibly steep learning curve, and training does not help as much as it needs to. You will be thrown into the fire quickly and without much support, and this is why Darktrace tends to have such a high burnout rate after training, hence some of the 1-2 star reviews I think. If you are not prepared to swim, you will sink quickly as there is not much support for you once in the field. Lean on your coworkers, and find a more experienced rep to lean on for questions/advice. The internal CRM is abysmal and is quite literally it’s own living organism - it will do whatever it wants, shuts down often, and is a pain to navigate. However, when you get used to it it becomes manageable. You WILL be seen as a number and not a name. Management is adamant about numbers. This is a British company, not American. High intensity, high volume, and long hours. You will be expected to perform at your peak but you will be rewarded for it. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help when you need it.
