Job Stability & Security Federal Employee Telework Employee Benefits Nice Facility Usually a respectful environment Sincere and meaningful employee training program

Cons

Forced to do too much with limited resources Expectations of Sr Mgmt are not always grounded in reality since they don't seem to be in touch with current IT capabilities Sr Mgmt does not always listen to advice of front line supervisors who have years of experience and then they make decisions that are not thought completely through which makes their goals unachievable Micromanagement caused by lack of trust in front line managers

Pros

Tremendous subject matter expertise at DISA. Lots of programs available to take care of their employees: gym, flexible schedule, telecommuting, etc.

Cons

Disorganized chaos. DISA tries to do too much with too little and are spread a bit thin. Field operations lack support. Lots of vested personnel are difficult to get a hold of or take ownership and work an issue with determination.
