Pros

I can't think of any, other than the few good friends and relationships I made there in the few years I was with them. OH, maybe a rapid chance for promotion, because of the high turnover. It doesn't matter if you are an uncaring moron and complete idiot if you want to be a supervisor you can become one in record time. From there you can keep climbing the ladder to continue perpetuating the broken Child Welfare System in Florida.

Cons

- Unrealistic expectations of Case Managers. Job cannot be done in 40hrs but overtime is forbidden and allowed only through severe scrutiny and judgment, due to the lack of understanding from upper management and the manager from afar, of what a direct care worker goes through every day. - Unsupportive, untrained, and overworked supervisors. Supervisors and management get their promotions based on the need for a warm body, not their skill, experience, knowledge, or leadership qualities. - Most infractions (including egregious ones) are swept under the table; if you are willing to stay...We need that warm body! - Unreasonable expectations of line or direct care workers, with a constant flow of new demands, but never a pay increase. And absolutely never a word of praise. They kick the workers when they are down. - Past local management team was not perfect but did care for the children, the families, and the staff (to the extent it was possible/allowed by upper management and Lead Agency). New management is heartless, double-faced, self-serving sub-humans that talk a good game, but that is all...TALK. Total failures that have kept recycling themselves through a system of care that is in shambles because of managers like them. - While numbers do matter and reflect how we are doing, the numbers game for upper management is all that really matters, at whatever the human cost. - A hostile culture full of demands, mean and demeaning managers, and no praises or rewards. They will kill your motivation. - A culture of gossip and cliques. If you are not part of their group you are out. And if you are you are IN, you are IN, even if the job description has to be adjusted to make your resume fit the role. - Absolutely no work-life balance. They talk about self-care, but the minute you try to care for yourself and set boundaries, you are scolded. - Lack of resources, lack of homes for children, lack of support for workers. An absolute mess of a system. Shameful.

Pros

The clients were the best part of the job.

Cons

HR cares only about the bottom line, doesn't care about the clients or the staff. Very high turnover. They protect those who have worked there 20+ years, even if they have done some illegal/questionable things.
