Pros

Gamer Culture, Professional Values: We're all gamers here. We play everything. But we're also professionals always seeking that next level of excellence. We take what we love and apply what we know, fusing passion and skill to create truly fun games. Work/Life Balance: It's hard to be really creative when you only do one thing. It's hard to be innovative when you only think in one way. We recognize that we make the best games when we balance our passion for games with our larger lives. Being a mom or dad, husband or wife, son or daughter is as important to us as being game makers.

Cons

Like any company, we have our troubles from time to time with communication, coordination, and the thousand little things that make a team run smoothly. And, in the past, we haven't always acted together to solve these issues. But we've learned and continue to learn from these experiences. We work together to watch out for the problems. And we work together to solve them.

Pros

- Great IPs to work on - Very talented group of coworkers who are motivated and very knowledgeable in their respective disciplines. - Regular opportunities for employee bonding outside of work with board games, socializing, and prearranged get-togethers. - Feel very confident about the future knowing that we will always have great products to work on and have promising opportunities moving forward. - Opportunity to work in a large, fun city with many available activities including hiking, biking, skiing/snowboarding, and many professional sports teams. - Reimbursement for commuting expenses. I love my job and I'm sure that anyone who desires an interesting, unique challenge would thrive at Direwolf Digital.

Cons

In the past we have had some times of crunch/extended hours however food was brought in and paid for by the company for us to complete our deadline. We haven't experienced these crunch times in many months. I don't really have any complaints with the company. I have been very satisfied with my work experience over the last few years.

Pros

I've worked at Dire Wolf Digital for over three years. There are two major reasons that I love my job. 1) I find it fulfilling to work at a company that focuses on the kinds of games I find interesting to make and enjoy playing. Being able to work on something you are passionate about is an incredible opportunity. 2) The amazing coworkers. They are highly talented and highly passionate about making great games. They are also an interesting and supportive crew who get together for after-hours boardgames, health initiatives, food parties, etc.

Cons

The atmosphere can be demanding and stressful. In 2010 and 2011, there were times of crunch as the company had to endure through challenging times and multiple projects with a smaller staff. Fortunately, crunch-time is largely a thing of the past. The office space is also a con; currently the company is split into two separate floors of an office building, sometimes generating some friction with communication.
