Pros

- Company has an impactful mission that gives you pride in where you're working. - Overall collaborative nature of the team and projects. - Never have to work alone on a project - always at least a primary/secondary on any task which gives everyone the ability to learn and perfect new skills fast. - Strong focus on mentorship and professional growth. - Wide ranging customer base that includes brands I use every day and opportunities for international experience. - Fast growth, meaning every employees day-to-day work makes an impact and I can quickly trace that impact to the end customer.

Cons

- Growing fast, mostly a blessing, but sometimes a curse with tight deadlines. - In person offices shut down with COVID, hopefully they re-open soon.

Pros

You're getting to solve the problems that all your friends and neighbors read about in the news. That gives a great sense of accomplishment everyday. The team has serious technical chops, comes from diverse backgrounds, and works hard. There are real engineering puzzles and challenges you get to tackle, and you'll learn a lot about cybersecurity working here. CTO clearly cares about his people. DevOps and Design are also well integrated with the dev team.

Cons

The Austin office shut down with Covid, and it would be nice to get the opportunity to see our colleagues in person more often. There are some great grassroots activities that started to create virtual bonding, but the social in person part of the job is missing.

Pros

- The people are what makes this company. Collaborative, skilled, and everyone come together to solve issues. - The company is functional, there is no bureaucratic BS, and it's relatively flat in its structure. - Management listens and tries to make the company a very open place. - Good work/life balance. You can set your own schedule that works for you as long as you get your work done and show up for the meetings you're required for. - There's lots of opportunity for quiet time to focus on a problem. Most work tend to be async and meetings are only really booked when it's truly needed. - You're not boxed into your expected role at all times. There's opportunity for variety if you want it. If you want to stand on a conference floor talking to people you can, or if you want to join a sales call to understand the customer better, you can. - The trajectory for the company is very promising. Large contracts landing left and right. Remote access to industrial control systems is an underdeveloped market and there's a lot of opportunity for growth within this sector. - You get to work on problems that are important. For example, protecting drinking water or electrical grids from cybersecurity attacks. It's very rewarding.

Cons

- Lack of get-togethers and social events during the pandemic. But it's starting up again with team retreats getting scheduled for later in 2022. - With large contracts landing left and right, there is sometimes difficult to get an idea of prioritization as things move very quickly.
