Pros

Home daily. Pay is good for the area. Can usually pick up extra work on the weekend if wanted. Some linehaul runs take about 12 hrs to do while others take about 10. I work about 10 hrs a day.

Cons

The equipment is not maintained well. There are a lot of DOT violations related to the equipment. You work 5 days a week which I wouldn't want to do if I was working 12 hrs or more a day.

Pros

Dohrn is small enough that you can usually find a person to answer questions to help you solve problems.

Cons

Benefits are on the low side. Performance reviews are a joke. If they are done once a year it is a miracle. They are fair to most on reviews but there is a good guys club that influences the process. Only the upper management can make decisions, if you have an issue they can be very hard to reach. The upper management does not delegate responsibilities often enough. On the rare occasion that they do, they fail to follow through when the delegated task was not completed as they requested. Hours are long and busy, 55+ per week, usually more. The equipment is poorly maintained. Safety dept is understaffed and Safety is an afterthought to most.
