Pros

Good people to work with, everyone gets along. Company likes to hire and promote from within.

Cons

High turnover, upper management is preoccupied with high value clients to the point that you don't have the tools to adequately assist normal clients and do the job correctly.

Pros

Dollar still offers a pension to employees who stay around long enough. Benefits for officers are generous in many respects. Hours are reasonable.

Cons

The culture is very old school. The pay lags well behind other financial institutions in the area. Management leaves much to be desired.

They will not fire you. and I'm not expected to work from home

Cons

Pay is way too low. You'd make more money if you worked at Walmart. No lie, if you are a CSA, your pay is too low to qualify for their CRA programs. (This is a program for people who don't make a lot of money to buy their own home) Their idea of being technological advanced is a video teller. I still use Microsoft 2003 programs. The management is so old they just think that this internet thing is just a phase that'll pass. No need to invest in that kinda stuff. They refused to pay for updates to computer programs for 13 years and now to update it it'll cost the company $80 grand. They're to the point that they're so cheap that it actually costs them money. They brag about this culture of the bank, but everyone who isn't upper mgmt is unhappy. Do not work here
