Cons
Dreadfully low pay which is exponentially worse if you work your way up in the company. That’s not a typo. Employees who work their way are awarded thousands less than their peers brought in from the outside with similar or less experience. Management has adapted a new sales culture never before pushed at Dollar Bank. A once customer-driven bank is now nothing more than a cheap mini clone of Wells Fargo—foaming at the mouth for more numbers and cross-selling of ancillary products with ZERO reward for employees who excel, except for faster promotions for those who excel and pay no attention to ethics. Dollar Bank wants to be a player with the bigger banks and finance companies but refuses to pay their employees a proper wage for performing as such. No one works on commission, meaning you’re compensated no more regardless of production volume, but management still expects aggressive and unreasonable sales goals. I was once excited about the idea of spending my career there, but this once-respected regional employer stopped practicing what they preached.
