Pros

* Opportunity to learn: There's always opportunity to try new things, and take ownership of new projects * Values and mission-driven: The company is strongly driven by its mission ("economic empowerment") and 12 company values (including "1% better every day", "operate at the lowest level of detail", and "choose optimism and have a plan.") These help provide clarity in decision marketing, and help create a collaborate and innovative culture * Competitive salary: Pay seems consistent with other tech companies, though benefits are lacking, e.g., no 401k match

Cons

* Experiences vary per team: There's no one DoorDash experience. It is very different based on team and manager * Built-in chaos: When it comes to internal processes and chaos, "that's DoorDash" is a phrase used as an excuse, instead of fixing root problems. The positive side of this is that it creates a very nimble and dynamic org, but it's not for everyone

Pros

-working remote for the time being -fun culture -free dash pass -tons of overtime -VERY diverse -managers care and listen

Cons

-absolutely no incentives or bonuses, stock payouts, no 401K matching, nothing -the employees are given the BARE minimum, and when I say BARE I mean BARE minimum . . I have worked at MANY top companies, and this is by far the company with the worst benefits I have ever seen in my career and I am not entry level -The SME's who aren't "real" managers, but just a special sticker they receive for busting their butt as a customer service rep will act like your manager and boss you around with absolutely no authority in their role, but because they got a gold sticker they think they're "managers" which is super annoying! -extreme micromanagement .. every little action you take has to be recorded, even if you go to the bathroom, you have to change your status for managers to know .. they monitor every dial you make, they listen to every single call, the QA department is very strict and grades HARD and if you're a new hire please know your schedule WILL suck and you WILL have to work on the weekends.. I have been with the company for almost 2 years and I have worked EVERY Saturday and Sunday for 2 years since I started which sucks, and so have my coworkers unless you get promoted out.. -the PHONES are the worst part.. you talk to the representatives in the Philippines all day who have broken english and are completely clueless, back to back calls, which makes the job overwhelming and HIGH TURNOVER -The benefits like sick time and PTO do NOT refill in January like most companies .. which absolutely sucks .. the CEO is cheap and does not at all value his employees, and that is why everyone quits within 6 months or gets promoted, more than 75% of my training class has left, and now I understand why

Door Dash Facts

Pros

You are able to work your own schedule, if for any reason you need time off, family emergency or illness etc., this is not problem.

Cons

Door Dash offers promotion to the public, allowing free deliveries, which many times entails no tips. There are two many smaller orders, which a driver must take 2 small orders to makeup for one. This means double the work and can also take you double or even triple the mileage to delivery addresses. If you are a person who is depending on this income it can be very difficult, and you absolutely need a secondary income. Also when Door Dash saturates the market with new dashers, this also will drive down the price and number of orders and the amounts you can make. Door Dash caters to the needs of it's clients, and restaurants, but I feel the drivers get left out of the equation. The company is too busy making money but not increasing Dasher pay per order. We too are an integral part of this company, they could not do business without us, but sadly Door Dash is not recognizing this fact.
