Pros

The reason why I continue to commute over 70 miles a day to work at DrFirst is mostly due to the support they give me. They want me to be successful. It makes sense - when I'm successful, they're successful. Why wouldn't they support me? Not all companies do, and it's tough to put a price on a company that is more than willing to give me opportunities to learn, grow, and move up in my career. Executive management is pretty hands-on, and most of the management I've worked with has been quick to commend good work and offer insight and guidance when I struggle.

Cons

I wouldn't consider DrFirst to be a startup, but they are a relatively small company in a fast paced and dynamic industry. My job doesn't always feel very structured, but while this can be frustrating, it's also much more interesting. It keeps things from getting too monotonous. Still, it sometimes feels like we're not 100% sure what direction to head in. Goals and priorities shift pretty often. I gave 5 stars overall, but I would give 4.5 if I could.

The DrFirst Difference

Pros

I was first interested in DrFirst because of the potential I saw in the small company with an amazing product. They were looking for employees that are disciplined, driven and smart. I started at DrFirst from outside of the healthcare industry. I worked in education and the transition to Healthcare IT took a lot of reading and personal research. However, I feel as if I am an expert in my field. I have now worked here for 8 months. I truly appreciate that my managers were ambitious in making sure that I had all of the tools I needed to be an ambassador for my product. Not only were my direct managers invested in me but I also have direct communication and encouragement from my senior management. This sales cycle is much different than what I was used to but I was ecstatic to exceed both of my first two quotas and well on my way to meeting my third. I have learned an entirely new way to execute a consultative sales call from what I was using previously. The support I have from management far exceeds the companies I have worked for in the past.

Cons

Although, always changing as any sales force is, this company embraces a fun and exciting atmosphere. Keep an open mind to change and embrace new opportunities and you will be successful here. Continuing to learn and staying positive is a must here.

Pros

This is a great company who believes that hard work should be rewarded. They are very employee centric. I have seen HR, executive management, and Payroll go above and beyond to help and employee. People who work hard and are committed to making themselves and the company better are definitely rewarded for their efforts.

Cons

They are a still growing company with some standard growing pains. Working here requires flexibility and patience.
