Nothing is perfect, but DrFirst really wants to be. I'm proud to work for this company.
Pros
The reason why I continue to commute over 70 miles a day to work at DrFirst is mostly due to the support they give me. They want me to be successful. It makes sense - when I'm successful, they're successful. Why wouldn't they support me? Not all companies do, and it's tough to put a price on a company that is more than willing to give me opportunities to learn, grow, and move up in my career. Executive management is pretty hands-on, and most of the management I've worked with has been quick to commend good work and offer insight and guidance when I struggle.
Cons
I wouldn't consider DrFirst to be a startup, but they are a relatively small company in a fast paced and dynamic industry. My job doesn't always feel very structured, but while this can be frustrating, it's also much more interesting. It keeps things from getting too monotonous. Still, it sometimes feels like we're not 100% sure what direction to head in. Goals and priorities shift pretty often. I gave 5 stars overall, but I would give 4.5 if I could.
