Pros

The clients are amazing to work with.

Cons

This company has a horrible reputation. They lack in hiring adequate people to work with their clients. The majority of employees in the office falsify documents, I worked as a supervisory there and was told to adjust the documents to make them work for insurance reasons. Some employees treat the clients like sub-par humans. Management let abuse and neglect slide, even when it is obviously happening and being reported to them. Horrible pay. People are always accused of stealing, and even when proven not guilty, they continue to be blamed. They also go about whatever way they can to NOT pay employees for work they have done. Office staff will purposely not file paperwork to ensure people don't get paid, just because they don't like the individual. Managers in the office have put off signing time sheets, because they don't "like" the person, which caused them to not be paid. - I personally worked in the office, and witnessed all of these things happen. That is why I no longer work for the company!

Pros

There isn’t many pros. From day 1 you are lied to and misled on what your role is. People in charge of maintenance have never picked up a hammer yet will tell you exactly how to do your job. The interaction with residents is really nice. I enjoyed that part

Cons

Employer does very little to support job growth. There’s a lot of saying the right thing in meetings but in all actuality these people make it very clear they are there for a paycheck. Resident care is very subpar with management knowing full well what goes on. Residents are poorly treated. If you say anything you are very quickly ushered out the door. Someone really needs to look what goes on behind closed.

Pros

The teams at the state level are great, mainly because they were there pre-acquisition and Dungarvin as a parent company didn't have any say in them.

Cons

1. benefits - medical insurance is worthless. the current insurance most doctor's won't accept up front. but even in the past, the insurance has been subpar at best. 2. 401(k) - most states don't have matching. 3. they will ruin any efficiencies you may have had and instead force their parent company practices on your state that will cause double the work and cost your state extra money 4. the moment they feel like a state is pushing back (otherwise known as sharing ideas), they will work hard to shut it down little by little 5. they spend endless amounts of time in meetings that result in nothing being accomplished. They will act like the states have some say in what does or does not happen, but ultimately they don't take in consideration ideas of others. 6. the overhead at Dungarvin is insane! Being in a Medicaid funded field typically means you have to work within your means and learn how to be efficient with minimal cost. 7. they do not understand the concept of being person-centered. They are addressing recruiting as more of a national concept, when it really is a state-level concept because each state has slightly different needs and requirements not to mention each individual is different so you have to do your best to tailor to the needs of the individual. Dungarvin just says "all states will recruit for each other" resulting in mass hires and supervisors who don't even know what they're getting. Again, treating the business as if it is a department store.
