Pros

The individuals supported are the best reason to work with this company.

Cons

Management and upper management are too far removed from the staff and the individuals. The training is basic and just enough to get by state regs. Unreliable management that are not available to assist caregivers with questions about in home care. Executive management has no idea how to support the staff and have unrealistic ideas about care. The company wants to grow (make more money) and makes individuals have housemates that are not a good fit and live with as many people possible to keep costs low (caregiver payroll costs).

No training. No professionalism.

Pros

Work from home is okay

Cons

There is almost no training when you first start. They tell you to look at modules and get used to them. But when you ask a question, it feels like you can’t really ask anyone because they all seem too busy to care. Yes it’s an independent job but there’s so much miscommunication from everyone that the people served don’t get the cares they need. More worried about growing the company than helping people served. And it felt like even the supervisors had no training either.

Pros

Diversified caseload, fairly decent EHR ...

Cons

The two homes I worked at were damp, creepy-crawly bugs-infested, and generally unkempt. Expect to be left alone to face all possible work-related dangers. And when I got a broken tailbone from a grossly brutal, nearly fatal assault from a habitual aggressive person-served with masked history, I was left to care for myself. Their doctor does a poor job on you, sending you back to work in four weeks, while your tailbone is still raw, denying a second opinion to receive noninvasive treatment. I received no wages for three months until I sued them and their lawyer intervened. There's more to say, but we're still in court ...
