Pros

Good engineering is the primary goal of the company and every employee. Total freedom to work on engineering problems. The company has attempted to remove all barriers for the engineers to get the job done. No bureaucracy. The company is made up entirely of smart engineers. The projects are at the pinnacle of aerospace technology. Constantly pushing the envelope.

Cons

With total freedom comes personal responsibility.

Pros

Decent pay with profit sharing after some time/seniority Good health benefits Lots of engineers Lots of travel

Cons

Complete lack of mentorship and valuable feedback for newbies and even more experienced mid level engineers. Some very hot headed, opinionated engineers and management who should be reined in as mentioned by other reviews. For some reason this company seems to attract these type of people. If you are a mild mannered person who is adverse to these abusive personality types you may want to steer clear. The internal politics and method of giving raises tends to place engineer against engineer and is not productive. Way too much time spent doing hands on manual labor that a tech should be doing and not a mechanical engineer. Most of work is not engineering but design which is okay for some but if you want to do real engineering work then look elsewhere. The CEO is a little crazy in my opinion, normally the senior management keeps him out of everyone's hair (as explained to me personally by one of the senior management, and rather amusing but frightening at the same time), but watch out, involvement with him and his micro projects could seriously bite you in the butt. For all intents and purposes the company is really run by the 2nd man in charge, if it wasn't this company wouldn't be where its at today. Lack or professionalism in documentation and in the overall workplace environment can be hard on the morale. Travel can be a real pain for the family man however a possible boon for the single engineer.

Pros

Huge amounts of freedom and responsibility. The company is engineering-centric. Employees follow projects from design to delivery and often travel for installation. Profit sharing is a big benefit and gets bigger the longer your tenure.

Cons

Confusing management structure. Mentoring is almost unheard of and is also unavailable as your job role changes over your career. The political culture at the company may overwhelm some.
