      Not bad, but not great either.

      Pros

      Work/Life Balance is great but used to be better. Good pay. Stock has soared. Overall, the people are good (personality, not skills).

      Cons

      It's a giant, siloed organization in an archaic slow-moving industry. You won't find real innovation. You won't find efficient execution. We're not the good guys. We don't hire the best and brightest. Career advancement is gone if you work from home. You'd expect better benefits from a health insurance company. Brace yourself for annual reorgs.

      Anthem was a good place when I started but changed drastically

      Pros

      pay check deposit on time. Direct Manager is wonderful and supportive.

      Cons

      We were able to work from home one to two days a week. This was taken away recently as a Enterprise wide policy. It is not written or followed. So in other words the only applies to the Finance department. So now morale is at the lowest point. Direct Managers have no control to decide what is best for their department. The Anthem incentive Plan has changed = what ever senior leadership wants to pay.

      The compensation is good and depending on your years of service PTO is good also.

      Cons

      After all the mergers they lost value in the employees that have been loyal. Management lacks the necessary skills to lead. Ethics are violated and NOT kept confidential allowing Management to retaliate. False reviews, no proper process documentation to even learn your job. Employees are truly just a number. ABSOLUTELY NO JOB SECURITY.
