Pros

Flexible Hours. Reasonable pay. No commute - you work from home. Opportunities to advance your position and increase pay. The hours you get are determined by your availability and how well you tutor. Tutors have a supervisor (APM) to help with any issues they may encounter. A great job for stay at home parents, military spouses who constantly relocate, or anyone who would rather work from their couch in sweatpants with a cup of coffee in hand. For the other reviews who are saying they are having trouble contacting parents...they have the wrong company. Elevate K12 has no contact with parents. This is a program students do online during the school day.

Cons

Sometimes tutoring sessions are canceled last minute by the schools - however that is not the company's fault. Anyone who has ever gone to school and/or worked at a school knows that assemblies and emergency closings can occur without much notice.

Pros

The students behave well for the most part. There is flexibility in that you can teach all grades and you can teach several subjects.

Cons

Management is lacking. Unorganized when it comes to scheduling and quite unprofessional. Pay is low and you end up sitting in empty sessions quite often which is frustrating because you make only a couple of dollars when no students show up.

Thanks for your feedback! We have evolved a lot since our start up days and have worked on our scheduling and better hours. Sometimes the schedule changes are beyond our control and are with the school. Our payment schedule has changed and evolved since many years back and we continuously work to add more for our online instructors.
