      Not a good place.

      Pros

      Great colleagues, open office, work from home options, "unlimited" PTO, ok medical benefits. A communal drive to improve and help teammates whenever possible. Free Friday lunches & company events occasionally for community service or fun.

      Cons

      Leadership is chaotic at best, screaming fits and complete lack of planning at its worst. Recent IT leadership has brought some professionalism, but product and company focus is completely dependent upon the CEO's current passions. Vocal or written feedback is generally ignored, discounted, or belittled unless it fits within that frame. There is a recurring cycle of abuse and "working to improve" which, upon pointing this out, employees will be told to stop focusing on the past. Employee development is nearly non-existent and may be rescinded at any time once provided. Micromanagement, paranoia, and fixation on the wrong issues have been a plague for years.

      Great People, Bad Management

      Pros

      The people at EOA are great, including teamwork at company and social life/culture. Benefits are decent as far as healthcare and 401k match. The work is interesting and challenging.

      Cons

      The CEO has trouble letting go of anything or trusting employees to do their jobs. He has a tendency to micromanage. He values hours in the office over work completed/quality of work. Because of this, he has been unable to keep a Marketing Director on staff for more than a few months. He is especially hard on developers because he used to be one. In 2016, the company became increasingly corporate and lost a lot of the charms of a startup. No real path for advancement is presented for any job role. The company is at times directionless, and at other times directed on the whims of the CEO.

      Pros

      The people here are great, and they care about their work. The different departments help each other; everyone works together for the betterment of the company. We work hard, and are rewarded well. We also have a lot of fun together! The company is constantly growing and learning, which is important to me. Also, I've never worked for a company that is so into the work/life balance, super rare. The culture here is kind, curious, thinks outside the box, and believes there is no limit to what EOA can achieve. We all have the same goal for our company.

      Cons

      Growing pains, while we are learning, sometimes it can take a while to adjust to new roads.
