It was alright

Pros

- It was work from home. - it's a contact center job. one of the worst ones i've had, but aren't they all kinda sucky?

Cons

- It started out okay, but got worse as the company tightened down on micromanagement. Of course, to a degree, it comes down to your manager. - The customer that called are extremely rude and low quality. You take a lot of crap from them, at a higher rate. Most people who are looking for the kinds of jobs they offer are desperate or living a quality of life that matches their horrible treatment of CSRs. - Thursdays and fridays are the worst because they are always payment issues. People call in pissed off, and take it out on you. the main branches never answer their phones, and some go as far as literally disconnecting their phones to avoid us calling. Some will pick up and hang up immediately. Managements solutions is to tell us to tell our managers.. needless to say, they don't fix it, the branches don't stop doing it, and management looks in the other direction and pretend it's not happening. all they care about is getting people employed to do these jobs so they can make their money. You're left their dealing with angry people. Of course you can't defend yourself. >_>

Pros

I liked the people in the office I worked in

Cons

Cold calling, no leads were provided, Zero flexibility on working from home, Surprise visits to prospects who do not want to see you. This company is operating like it’s the 1980s. Sales strategy is: surfing indeed.com to find companies in need of help, using zoom info to target people within those companies and get their contact info, calling those targets on their company and mobile phones, or attempting to drop in and visit them, and providing them with paper copies of literature explaining why they should use our services. Unless there is a massive overhaul in strategy, this company will not make it another 10 years. AI and search will connect labor needs with labor supply, and there isn’t room for middlemen with a 40% markup. In hindsight, during the interview process they were incredibly vague on the day to day, answering many of my questions with, “it’s hard to explain.” Long story short, this was the worst job I’ve ever had.

No work/life balance

Pros

The pay is decent and the benefits are good

Cons

They will work you to death. There is no work/life balance, and they expect more than 1 person can give.
